We proudly present you the new – international – YourPost team for the upcoming season. As always, enthusiastic volunteers and communication and media students from NHL / Stenden. In the coming time, students from the Netherlands and colleagues from Taiwan, Lithuania, Spain and Romania will be present at the YourPost editorial office. And all of them are buzzing with ideas! The spring break is over and the editors of YourPost are taking on new energy! The program includes beautiful articles/series and sparkling video reports. Here a part of our editorial team, on the steps of de Kanselarij. In addition to Dutch, our team currently consists of students / volunteers from Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Afghanistan, Sweden, Spain, Brazil and Austria.
With the presentation of its own promotional film, YourPost, the online news agency for citizen journalism, had its own red carpet moment last week. Exchange students, guests of NHL Stenden and volunteers met at this cheerful gathering in the Kanselarij. With an enthusiastic speech, Mayor Ferd Crone also showed his interest. The art project DNALWD2018 collects the personal stories or memories of everyone who has ‘something’ with Leeuwarden. Stories about work, friendship, hobby, the love for your partner or passion for your sport. The possibilities are endless. The editors of YourPost also feel involved in this community art project.
LEEUWARDEN – A project of test tubes and DNA. And yet there will not involve any blood or needle. We are talking about the ‘DNA of Leeuwarden’, a project under LF2018. Anyone who has a band with Leeuwarden can participate. ,,You give a piece of your DNA by filling the tube with something that is important to you,” tell project manager Margret Havinga and communications consultant Silvana Fancel. Kelly Mulder (25) from Leeuwarden moved to Canada for love. In Beamsville (near Lake Ontario) aside from her fulltime job, she teaches Dutch. She also does a lot of PR for the municipality of Leeuwarden. Together with her students, she’s making plans for a special trip ‘Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018′. More
