Hundreds of Santa Clauses in the city center during the Santa Run [2]

On Saturday 22ndof December, the city center of Leeuwarden will be colored even more in red than it usually would during Christmas time. A legion of hundreds of Santa Clauses will make their way through the small streets for the annual Santa Run of 2½ kilometers. The proceeds of the run and the accompanying afterparty, will go to TOF Vakanties this year, a charity that organizes holidays for people with a mental disability. More

Meeting the Mayor

 Almost 100 international students  gathered together the last 15th of October in front of the Town Hall door in the center of Leeuwarden. What could have brought them there? The answer is Ferd Crone, the mayor of Leeuwarden. He has been in office for almost 11 years and two weeks ago he welcomed the international students to the city. More

A new home for the hopeful

What will the future bring and how does it look like? Exactly this is the question what the curators Maarten Hajer and Michiel van Iersel asked in order to create content for the current exhibition “Places of Hope”. YourPost presents promo video

With the presentation of its own promotional film, YourPost, the online news agency for citizen journalism, had its own red carpet moment last week. Exchange students, guests of NHL Stenden and volunteers met at this cheerful gathering in the Kanselarij. With an enthusiastic speech, Mayor Ferd Crone also showed his interest.
