This artifact deals with the conflict in the Middle East. On the left is a Palestinian, on the right a Zionist and in the middle an Israeli border guard. It shows how different parties are pulling on robes for the military to be active. At the same time, however it shows how Fake would like to see it. Play together joyfully and without conflict. I arrived in Leeuwarden on January 26th. Prior to my Erasmus application, I had never heard of the city or even Friesland for that matter, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Annemaaike Bakker from De Stormruiter: „I never sat on a horse before“

Annemaaike Bakker plays the female lead character in the production “de Stormruiter”, based on a novel by Theodor Storm. “De Stormruiter”, is presented to the audience from September until October 2018 in the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden, which is especially created for Cultural Capital 2018 Leeuwarden-Fryslân. The story themes are the fight against water and the formation of the Friesian Horse.
